Results: the boys u12 team defeated Roscommon Gaels and lost to Elphin/Ballinameen in the division one summer league last week, the boys u12 second team were defeated by St Brigids in the summer league division six last Saturday in O’Rourke Park, the boys u14 team were defeated by St Croans in the division three championship last Friday in O’Rourke Park and the girls u16 team were defeated by Roscommon Gaels and Kilbride last week in the division two championship. Fixtures: the boys u14 team play St Michaels in the division three championship K/O next Sunday in Ardcarne Park at 11am. See www.gaaroscommon.ie or local press for all local fixtures and results. There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €12,100 on Friday 11th October. Results: hard luck to the ladies junior team who were defeated by Claregalway in the Connaught semi final last Saturday in O’Rourke Park (see report elsewhere). Thanks to the panel and management for their commitment during the year. Thanks to all club members who worked so hard last Saturday to stage the game and the ladies who provided the refreshments for both teams and the match officials after the game. Fixtures: the boys u12 team play Elphin/Ballinameen in the division one summer league next Thursday in O’Rourke Park at 6-15pm and the girls u16 team play Roscommon Gaels in the division two championship semi final next Wednesday at 7-30pm in Lisnamult. Our annual underage 5K wal was held last Sunday. A great crowd turned out and enjoyed a lovely walk around the town. Thanks to our sponsors Paul Lafferty James Cleary & Sons, Dermot Lyons Mace, Ray & Trina Joyce,Seamus Dunleavy, McSharrys Chemist, Pascal Fitzmaurice and George Bannon for their generosity. The walk was led by all our county players with silverware won to date including the ladies Connaught Intermediate Cup and the Nestor cup all on disolay on the day. Thanks to all who particaped on the walk and all the volunteers who assisted on the day.
