Club Notes 03-08-2014

The senior team play Kilmore in round two of the senior championship in Boyle next Saturday at 6pm.They were defeated by Tulsk in the O’Gara cup in O’Rourke park last Wednesday.

The minor boys play Kilglass/St Barry’s in round two of the championship in O’Rourke Park next Friday at 7pm. 

 The ladies minor team play Western Gael’s in round one of the championship in O’Rourke Park on Wednesday 06th August at 7pm.

Training for minor and senior ladies teams continues at usual times, see facebook page for details. Gaelic for mothers and other’s continues on Tuesday evenings in O’Rourke Park.

Hard luck to the u14 boys who were defeated by St Brigid’s in the championship semi-final last Sunday. This completes their season this year where they performed very well reaching the league and championship semi-finals.

Coaching for boys and girls u6 to u12 continues in O’Rourke Park on Mondays at 6-30pm. 

Congratulations to Geoffrey and Annie Claffey and Shay and Yessica Heneghan who got married recently, may they have a long and happy life together. 

We extend our Sympathy to the Bredin family Tarmon on the death of their mother Margaret last week, may she rest in peace. 

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €6,600 on Friday 01st August. Numbers drawn on the night were 11, 15, 19 and 20. €50 winners on the night were G Byron, John Donlon, Paddy+ Carlione+John and Brendan Concannon. Next week’s jackpot is €6,700 and the draw takes place in McGourty’s on Friday 08th August. Tickets on sale in shops and pubs in town or any club official at €2 per panel or three panels for €5.
