We wish Darren McDermott a speedy recovery from the injury he sustained during the senior championship game last Sunday and we thank the Strokestown medical team for their assistance in Darren’s treatment. Results from last week; The Keith Revins sponsored senior team were defeated by Strokestown in round one of the senior championship in Strokestown last Sunday. The u14 boy’s were defeated by Kilbride in the division two league last Thursday in O’Rourke Park.  The u12 boy’s were defeated by Shannon Gael’s in the spring league last Wednesday in O’Rourke Park. The u16 boy’s were defeated by Oran in the division two league final last Friday in Elphin. The junior ladies team defeated St Croan’s last Sunday in the division 4 league in O’Rourke Park. The u16 girls defeated Kilbride in the division two championship final last Monday in Ballinlough. U16 girl’s panel Ailish O Rourke, Katelyn Hester, Ashna Henry, Katie Hannelly, Reece Higgins, Rachael Mulligan, Clodagh McFadden, Lisa O Rourke, Ciara Neary, Aisling Kelly, Ciara Farrell, Nancy Henry, Maureen Quinn, Abi Flanagan, Megan Maloney, Marianne Conroy, Jessica Gannon, Ciarrai Harkin, Holly Hopkins and Rachel Keane.

Fixtures next week are; The Keith Revins sponsored senior team play Elphin in round two of the senior championship next Sunday in Enfield at 3-45pm. The girl’s u14 team play Kilglass Gael’s in the division four league next Wednesday in Kilglass at 7pm. The u12 boy’s play St Croan’s in the spring league next Saturday in O’Rourke Park at 12pm. The u14 boy’s play Kilmore/Shannon Gael’s in the division two league in Kilmore next Thursday at 7pm. The u12 Girl’s play St Croan’s in the championship group B next Sunday in O’Rourke Park at 6pm. Gaelic for Mothers and Others continues on Monday evenings in O’Rourke Park at 9pm. Check www.gaaroscommon.ie or local press for all fixtures and results. There was no winner of the €5,700 lucky numbers jackpot on Friday 05th May; numbers drawn on the night were 16, 29, 34 and 35. €50 winners on the night were Paddy White, Oliver & Niamh Connaughton, Thomas C Raftery, Jimmy Glynn and Kevin Henry. Next weeks jackpot is €5,800 and the draw takes place in The Forge on Friday 12th May. Tickets on sale in shops and pubs in town or from any club official at €2 per panel or three panels for €5. Quick lotto is at €250. We extend our sympathy to the Dennehy family Curraghboy Athlone on the death of Pat Dennehy last week may he rest in peace. We congratulate Conor Casey and Julie Morgan on the occasion of their marriage last weekend and wish them a long and happy life together.
