Club Notes 11 - 05 - 2014

The u14 boys play Roscommon Gaels in the league on Thursday 15th May in Roscommon at 7pm. 

The junior team were defeated by Clan Na nGael in the Tansey Cup last Sunday in O’Rourke ParkThey play St Croan’s next Saturday at 8pm in O’Rourke Park. 

The u12 girls play Strokestown next Sunday iStrokestown. 

The u14 girls were beaten by a strong St Dominic’s team in O’Rourke Park last week; they play St Croan’s on Wednesday in Enfield at 7pm

The intermediate ladies were defeated by Eire Og last Saturday in the championship in O’Rourke Park; there werepromising signs for the season aheadThey play Shannon Gael’s in Croghan next weekend. 

The u16 girls lost the division 2b final to St Faithleach’s. Well done to all the girls, management and all who helped the team during the championship.

The 25 card drive continues next Sunday night 18th May at 8-30pm in the O’Rourke centre. 


The following were prize winners at the club’s lotto relaunch last Saturday night. 

Paul Claffey tours trip for two to Portugal, John Murphy Clontrask, one annual lotto ticket each Seamus Mannion, Michael Jury, Jim & Aisling Flanagan, Eugene Collins and Donie Duignan. Thanks to everyone who made the draw such a success, the finance committee and their teams of ticket sellers and also those who designed the lotto tickets and advertising signs. We also thank Liam Reynolds, The Roscommon Herald and Mid-West Radio for their support. A very special thank you to the 600 people who purchased annual lotto tickets to support us in our new pitch development. Thanks also to the ladies committee for providing refreshments on the night. There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €5,400 on Saturday 10th MayNumbers drawn on the night were 316, 17 and 24. €50 winners on the night were Mary McDermottCaroline FlahiveSeamus Stenson and John Raftery. Next week’s jackpot is €5,500 and the draw takes place in Sissy’s on Friday 16th MayTickets on sale in shops and pubs in town or any club official at €2 per panel or three panels for €5. Castlerea St Kevin’s thanks everyone who supports our lotto.  

Next bingo is in O’Rourke Centre on Friday 16th May at 8-30pm. The jackpot will be €2,100 on 45 calls or less. Quick lotto is at €1,950.
