Club Notes 15--02--2015

The junior men’s team got their Tansey cup campaign off to a winning start with a hard fought win against Western Gael’s on Sunday last in O’Rourke Park. They play St Brigid’s next Sunday in O’Rourke Park at 2pm. 
The ladies senior team were defeated by St Mary’s in O’Rourke Park last Sunday. Training for all intermediate ladies on Friday evening at 8-30pm in O’Rourke Park. 
The u16 boy’s had a good win over Elphin in  the league last Sunday in O’Rourke Park, they play Western Gael’s next Sunday in Frenchpark at 11-00am.

Roscommon Co Board in conjunction with Croke Park is embarking on a referee recruitment campaign. We as a club are obliged to do our bit to ensure a full compliment of referees to take charge of the vast number of games played in the county each year. The campaign slogan reads as follows "Think you can do better? Then put your whistle where your Mouth is". If any club member is interested please contact county referee administrator Brian Stenson (086 7908979) who will inform you of the dates for the course. 
A six week training programme for u6, u8, u10 and u12 boys and girls begins in the Hub on Friday 20th February. Under 6 and 8 from 6 to 7pm, under 10 and 12 from 7 to 8pm. All existing club members are welcome to attend; new members will be warmly welcomed. Registration will take place on the night, u12 €15 per child, family membership €120. 
We extend our sympathy to Mary Caulfield and family Cloonkeen on the death of Mary’s mother Bridget Nee Williamstown, may she rest in peace. 
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €9,400 on Friday 13th January. Numbers drawn on the night were 13, 17, 20 and 30. €50 winners on the night were Kevin & Jackie Kelly, Carmel Sharkey, Michael Callaghan and Sean Collins. Next weeks jackpot is €9,400 and the draw takes place in Caulfield’s on Friday 20th February. Tickets on sale in shops and pubs in town or any club official at €2 per panel or three panels for €5. Castlerea St Kevin’s thanks everyone who supports our lotto. 
Next bingo is in O’Rourke Centre on Friday 20th February at 8-30pm. The jackpot will be €2,500 on 47 calls or less. Quick lotto is at €1,600. The 25 card game continues next Sunday in the O’Rourke Centre starting at 8-30 pm, refreshments are served and new players are always welcome.
