A function will be held in The O’Rourke Centre on Saturday 21st October at 9pm to honour the Castlerea senior team that won the county title fifty years ago in 1967. Food served on the night all club members welcome. Minor Football: The u14 boy’s were defeated by a much stronger Shannon Gael’s/Kilmore team in the Garda Cup final last Saturday in Boyle. The u13 boy’s play Michael Glavey’s in the feile division two next Sunday in O’Rourke Park at 11am. Ladies Football: the u14 girl's were defeated by Shannon Gael’s in the division three championship semi final last Sunday in O'Rourke Park, they play the B final next weekend, see local press for details. The minor girl’s were defeated by Elphin/Kilmore in the division three championship last Sunday in O’Rourke Park, they play Strokestown next Sunday in O’Rourke Park at 3pm. There was no winner of the €8,000 lucky numbers jackpot on Friday 13th October; numbers drawn on the night were 9, 19, 27 and 35. €50 winners on the night were Fran Gannon, Paddy Morgan, Caroline Cryan, Delia & Kevin Brennan and Helen & Sean. Next weeks jackpot is €8,100 and the draw takes place in Hester’s on Friday 20th October. Tickets on sale in shops and pubs in town or from any club official at €2 per panel or three panels for €5. Castlerea St Kevin’s thanks everyone who supports our lotto. Next bingo in O’Rourke Centre on Friday 20th October at 8-30pm. The jackpot will be €1,000 on 45 calls or less, or €300 on 48 calls or less. Quick lotto is at €300. Congratulations too Esther Morgan Ballymoe on winning the €2,200 jackpot at bingo last Friday night. We wish former Castlerea St Kevin’s senior player David Scahill the best of luck with his new club Shandonagh in the Westmeath County intermediate final next Sunday.
